About the course:
This course will provide basic training in facial assessment for facial aesthetic procedures. You will learn in detail about the anatomical structure of the face:
- Course of the facial nerve
- Blood supply of the face
- Attachments of the facial muscles, their origin, and insertion
- Determining facial symmetry
After a detailed and thorough theoretical analysis, students will get hands-on live training experience. They will get the opportunity to assist in surgeries to better understand facial aesthetics through a practical approach.
Learning objectives:
- Analyse the facial asymmetry of a patient
- Determine the exact modifications needed to restore facial symmetry
- Determine the necessary cosmetic procedures needed to restore facial symmetry
- Determine the correct location for injecting anaesthetics into a patient’s face for surgical preparation
- Determine the exact dosage of anaesthesia for a facial cosmetic surgery for an individual patient
- Provide the correct injection technique for different regions of the face for each patient
- Approach a safer surgical procedure
- Prevent post-anaesthetic complications like nerve paralysis, drooping of facial muscles, etc.
- Identify and treat previous facial surgical complications
- Assess and evaluate the success or failure rate of a facial aesthetic procedure of a patient
