Saving a 20-year Old
Back in 2015, the then 20-year old Debabrata Karmakar had lost his index finger while cleaning his motorcycle, on a Sunday noon. An implantation surgery had to be performed within 12 hours of the injury. The patient residing in Krishnanagar, reached Columbia Asia Hospital, Kolkata at around 9 p.m. After a 3-hour surgery that started at 11:30 p.m., Karmakar was saved and the surgery was a great success. There's never a holiday for a doctor!
